About us

The Rochester Arborist Workshop began in 2003 with 30 - 40 local tree care professionals. We have grown every year since then. Our goal was to promote improved arboricultural practices throughout southeast Minnesota. The 2011 workshop will be the 9th annual.

The founders of the Rochester Arborist Workshop include Ed Hayes, former DNR Forest Health Specialist and now owner/operator of Hayes Tree, LLC, Jay Maier of Maier Forest and Tree, Jacob Ryg, City Forester, City of Rochester.
